Usul ad-Din

The Usul ad-Din (roots of religion) are five principles of faith in Shia Islam.

They are:

  1. Allah is One (Tawhid).
  2. Allah is always right and just.
  3. Allah has appointed perfect prophets and messengers to teach humanity how to live in peace.
  4. Leaders are needed to protect Islam and guide humanity on how to live in peace.
  5. Humans will be resurrected (raised from the dead) and judged by Allah.
