The Christian cross is the main symbol of the Christian religion. A cross with the body of Jesus on it is called a crucifix.

Christians believe that Jesus was nailed to a large wooden cross (crucified). They also believe that Jesus came back to life (resurrected) after three days. The cross is a symbol of Jesus’ sacrifice and suffering. It is also a symbol of hope and forgiveness of sins.
