Eid al-Fitr or Eid is a festival celebrated by Muslims at the end of the month of Ramadan. It marks the end of a month of fasting.

Celebrations differ in different traditions, countries, and families. Many include salat (prayer), feasting, gift-giving, and gathering with friends and family.

During the Eid celebration, Muslims may greet each other by saying ‘Eid Mubarak’, which is Arabic for “Blessed Eid”.
