The 99 names of God (Asma ul-Husna) describe the qualities of Allah in Islam.

The names are often described as representing the beautiful and powerful qualities of Allah.

Reciting these names is considered a way to connect with Allah. They are often recited during prayers, du’as, and remembrances.

Some names are known from the Qur’an and the Hadith. Muslims also believe that there are more names of God besides these. However, God has kept these secret.

There is no universal agreement among Muslims as to what exactly counts as a name of God, and what does not. Different sources give different lists of the 99 names.
